If I know for sure there will be no rain that day, I'll take the top off and put the covercraft convertable cover in the trunk.

:]

On an unrelated note: Have any of you guys lowered the car without any significant changes to the steering? Are there any springs with similar rates to the CR's? Thanks!

Hey I got a serious question for ALL CR OWNERS:

Scenario: Nice weather friday night and you decide to the CR out for a spin to the city (hour away)...do you leave the hardtop at home or do you just risk it with no top? I've always been worried about this since I love to drive the car top down, however sometimes if you HAVE to park in a questionable area I would raise the soft top. Given the CR's minor deficit what do you guys do???

This problem has been haunting me in pulling the trigger on a CR?
If I were in that scenario:

Soft cockpit cover to keep casual people from tossing stuff into your car like trash / cigarette butts, etc. and an alarm with proximity alarm and remote paging.

Me, I just leave the hardtop on.

If it is a safe part of the city and no rain in forcast one can go for it. Chance of rain or slightly seedy part of city hardtop.

Myself: Hardtop. Haven't had it off yet. Just hit 500 miles now I can run it.

I thought break-in was 600.
I doubt if I'm out long periods I'd take the hartop off. Come to think of it, I don't see many day trips where I'd take it off if I had one.

there are cockpit covers you can get so you can take the car out without the hardtop.

Side note: need more apex blue users to get the guy to make the keyhole caps..... I know it's a simple thing but I hate the keyholes exposed.. (sort of like the shiney exhaust tips kinda bug me)

Tell me more about this.

I've taken the top off twice, both times to work on her, but I haven't driven with the top off
