The Official S2000 CR Owners Thread
I posted this out there in the regular s2000 talk but was wondering if any former ap1/ap2 converts noticed this with the OEM CR cover.

Even at speeds as low as 50 mph, there is a real stabilizing effect from the CR aero, front and rear. This isn't really obvious unless you are moving at speeds that will get you arrested on public roads, but if your drive a section of curvy road in an AP2 then in the CR you may notice the diifference. On a track, you should definately notice it. It takes some of the scary out of higher speed corner entry IMO. Of course it works together with the CRs suspension differences as well. It's the whole package that works better at speed.
I noticed it on the track last weekend, the car felt good in the high speed corners, but hopped around in the low speed corners, corners I would normally slide my 02 through. The alignment was good, but I think the tires where gone at 13500 miles.
Spotted a white CR leaving Vegas last night on I15 heading back to socal....if you are here, check this

I'm almost to 16k miles. My tire tread is over 50% but I haven't been able to track it yet, only road trips to Cali
. Percentage wise, how much is worn down after a day at the track??

You must drive only in straight lines. Even the manual says you MIGHT get 10k miles on the tires if you drive moderately

i have 14k on my re070's, and they look brand new...

I went to the RE01R's. The wear was better, but the RE070's had a sharper feel to them.
Now I'm using RE11's - but on a Porsche 911. Really the best of both worlds. Every bit of grip if not more than the RE01R's, very very direct / sharp feel, and after 3 track events and 6k miles they should have no problem getting me into next season.
side note.... I really liked the RE070's.
Has anyone try to clean your seats ? if so , what did you use ? Any anything you can buy off the shelfs for this purpose.
How do you protect the seat side bolster, it seems that it won't last long, the stitches on mine began to fray in that area. My butts brushing against it everytime I get in and out hence I think I will soon see the inside of the seat oozing out.
