maybe he was also like many of us:

Even me i was going to trade my sweet -looking like new- 02' 35K miles for the "NEW CR" with the hopes of 200l bs less and extra 30HP @ least ... what a joke .. i think that is what happened with Tony Swan ,, that BTW has more experience with S2k than many of us ... maybe he is tired of Honda ,,, when Porsche needs to catch up they throw 30-40HP ... HP war is almost over and HONDA NEVER JOINED ... personally i'll get my NA2 NSX in like 3 more years and i'm done with honda ,,, the only decent car from honda right now it's the MDX (decent on the sense that is up to the competition) all honda cars are great ... they just don't have no more that "soul" that many of us found once (i've owned 2 preludes 1 accord V6 myself) ... i think that Tony Swan was just trying to say how frustrated is to have expectations ...

Honda has never participated in the HP wars. Honda usually has the lowest HP in whatever class their competing in.
I was never a Honda fan because of this. They've never been known for making high hp high tq cars. People keep talking about the Honda cars of the 90's but those weren't class leading hp cars either.
Please explain why people who love high hp buy Hondas then complain that they don't have enough hp
I mean didn't they know this before they bought the car
Your talking about hp and yet you want an NA2 NSX? All people do is complain about those cars not having enough HP

Heart broken over what? Where exactly was the extra 30hp going to come from? Everyone knew that the CR wasn't getting a new engine and Honda can't SAFELY/Reliably get more power out out of the F22 so excuse me but this HP thing is just noise!

.. get my point? Not gonna lie to you i went still to Honda here in Pompano to check one .. it looks good (minus rear wing) but still it wasn't enough to convince me to trade mine (so rare this CR is that it was locked so you can't even seat unless you are serious about, while i can go to a porsche dealer and test drive one) ... that broke my heart ,,,, and yes the NSX guys are getting Audi R8's and went to P-cars or Gallardos since Acura/Honda never gave them what they were waiting for 15 years ... i would get a NSX b/c is my dream car, not b/c makes tons of power .. but that i am expecting since NSx's are gone ....
For the CR as a example .. It's like you own a home, then your parents come and say, hey Son, go away 1 month and we will make a super reform for you, then you come back next month and see a new door and new blinds .. that's all, while you were expecting a new kitchen new paint new AC and more improvements .. see my point?

Remember that dope ass double half pipe with the skate through at the end of the film? I wanted to drop in on that thing so bad.
I'm going to have scour ebay now and see if I can't find me one of those banners. I'd love to have one.

True. Except for the S when it came out. The S was (past tense) different.
Let's go back to 1999 and remind ourselves what it meant to have an S:
39 more HP than the 1999 Porsche Boxter
47 more HP than the 1999 BMW Z3
60 more HP than the 2000 Audi TT
30 more HP than the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Spyder
Now, lets step forward to present day:
5 less HP than the 2008 Porsche Boxter
55 less HP than the 2008 Boxter S
10 less HP than the 2008 Audi TT 3.2
15 less HP than the 2008 BMW Z4
90 less HP than the 2008 BMW Z4 M
20 less HP than the 2008 Mitsubishi GT Spyder
The heartbreak is watching a first string car falling behind over the years, then getting excited about a new release, then getting the CR.

Even all these years later it's still less expensive even in CR form.
All this bickering about how the CR should have been more powerful/lighter is really pointless. It's already in production and Honda has a mind of its own so nothing is going to change
Personally, I don't buy cars based on how fast they go 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile etc. I buy cars for the DRIVING EXPERIENCE. Isn't that a refreshing thought?!??
My $0.2
