The Official S2000 CR Owners Thread
I received an e-mail from the dealer where I purchased my S2000 last year, offering the CR they have in stock for $29,991 including destination. It did not mention color or whether not it had a/c and stereo. If anybody is interested send me a PM or e-mail and I'll get you the contact information.

any plans to dyno? I'd like to see more evidence to back up the claims that C/R's are faster
and btw, there is still a C/R exactly like that one at a certain dealer in SC I know of, and they will take $32k

Should be lower than that man as there is a $2500 rebate by Honda. I would tell them invoice minus $2500 is where it's priced at.

It's not faster due to engine it's faster around a track due to suspension , tires and aero aids.

yeah, yeah, I know that...but one guy here was posting a dyno showing significantly more hp than the base model
Was at a honda dealer a couple days ago, they had a GPW 08 (not CR) and then an Apex CR and a BB CR
I always thought the CR was ugly.. untill i saw those 2 sitting next to the 08 GPW base model.. My God they look good.. I like GPW better than both those colors, but if i were to pick one, it would have been one of the CR's
Really have to see them in person to appreciate the looks

Update and question:
Great ride, this CR. Glad I got it. Haven't seen another CR on the road, or even in another dealer, yet. 5.5 months, over 13k miles, and I gotta disagree with the Motor Week review in at least one way--absolutely the CR is a daily driver. It's extremely reliable and carries anything I need it to. More than one 10-year-old has said "hey mister, nice car!" and especially with the roof off, everybody wants to know what it is. I tell them it's just a Honda, and go write anything you want on the credit app, they will believe you!
Well, one problem--air leaks around the rear latches when the hardtop is on. Turn the sound system up enough and you won't hear them. Sometimes I've put the top back on just right and didn't get leaks. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this. The one time I mentioned this to the dealer, they put it on right and didn't get leaks. What's the secret to not getting leaks?
The removable hardtop sure does make you check the weather. I've only been rained on a couple times. One thing's clear--I NEED not just a CR, but ALSO a regular vert of some sort, for those days where it's prolly not gonna rain, but might. Better get back to work then.

I had some air noise every now and then but all I did was unlatch the hardtop and then kind of adjust and then latch it down again. Then again, my car only has like close to 1k miles.
On another note, is it me or is the suspension feeling more compliant now? It probably took a couple hundred miles to settle the suspension a bit or something because it now rides over uneven pavement really nicely, or at least, better than when I first picked the CR up.
