I've read several references to 1500 made.
Now I scratch my head as you mention #1585.

My roommate, apexracer, and I talked about this and have a theory. Our theory is there were more than 1500 made for total production, but only 1500 were made available to the general public. The additional models would be needed for press release, car showings, testing, etc. and so on.

Just our .02.

btw his Rio Yellow is #40 and
my Apex Blue is # 1031

his was purchased in November '07, I bought mine in Feb of '08.

Honda didn't separate the CR VIN's from the standard S2000 VIN's. They are mixed in with the standard S2000. In other words, even though the last 4 of your VIN may be 1585, your actual CR "number" may be 1200......no real way to tell.

Here's an opportunity for CRwannabe or anyone else. My Rio Yellow Pearl S2000 CR with 2,000 miles, radio, a/c, and factory car cover is for sale. The ad is in the classified section. Hope I haven't broken any rules by mentioning it here. The s/n is 22.

Thanks,
Mike

Oh wow have any of you changed your exhaust yet? Yesterday I put in a Fujitsubo header and Mugen AP2 exhaust and man! The S2K exhaust is no joke on removal!

Only listened to it for a moment yesterday and the Mugen is louder than I thought it would be.

Awesome track! Just had mine out yesterday and what a blast!

Tires are fine after several 20 min sessions and I had 1500k to start. I mention it because someone here posted that these tires wear really quick. How long do they last abouts?
