for those who want a radio. Its actually no big deal that there is not a harness.

To wire up a radio all you need are a few simple connections all of which are available @ the fuse box ready for a simple connector to be plugs in and wires ran over to the radio opening.

@ the fuse box's three plug in ports
12v constant,
12v switched,
12V illumination,

Ground directly to the chasis bracing behind the radio

Of course the fun part will be snaking wire into the doors. I have done this a few times on s2000s and while its not terrible it is one of the easier cars to do. :/

You'll want to go to the dealer and buy the OEM radio brakets. They should be cheap and will allow you to mount any aftermarket CD player without using the cage.

Obviously there will not be an antenna connection either. My recommendation is to buy a small stick on amplified antenna which can be stuck to the glass or inside the a-pillar plastic. Should run about $50

Hey guys just wanted to get some input on these wheels on the CR. They're my NSX wheesl painted gunmetal. Great for track as they save 3.5 lbs per wheel and they're already in the garage

I had the car out at VIR and it was sooooo much fun! Unlike C&D though I had superblue brake fluid and Carbotech brake pads

I have 235/4017 RE01Rs on the front and 255's on the rear as well as a CF diffuser. Also I have KW2 suspension so it's a bit lower.

What's odd is I don't know if it was the wheels or having the numbers on the car I got so many stares and "what car is that" than I ever did with the CR before.

Where'd you get the red badges? I thought Honda's red JDM badges only came in the older AP1 version, and the mounting prongs were differently shaped than the CR's bumper/trunk?

(BTW, looks great! )

Can anyone who run their CR at the track suggest a good tires pressure that work good for them??? I'm running my CR for the first time next weekend and outside temperature is probably going to be somewhere around 75 deg... thanks

montana dealer just gave me a quote for 31700.. for blue ac/radio model still too much for my blood. In california may be worth it, but not here in IL.

I can't see how different it will be if i was to add the bracing, suspesion, aero's and steering rack stiffener with the quick steering rack. to an 03

Did you try getting online quotes from anyone locally? I thought schaumburg honda and honda of lisle had a few. It's not getting any warmer, so they will get increasingly desperate.

Realistically, the car won't be that much different if you take all the steps for a conversion. But I think you've read my whole thread in the UMW forum so you know the reasons why I opted for the new car instead of conversion. If you get the right price, it might be cost effective to just get a new CR.

used 03 - $18,000 (min I think for good condition)
used hardtop - $2,000
CR suspension - $1,300
CR lip - $500
used AP2 bumper - $200
CR wing - $700
Paint for front and wing - $1,000 (educated guess)
---------------------
$23,700 and that doesn't include the interior, bracing (although you would have the option of keeping the soft top), steering rack stiffeners (03's already come with the quicker rack), wheels, exhaust, tax, shipping, and all the benefits of having a new car like having an untouched car and a full warranty. Of course, if you went with non-CR mods you could build a car for the same price but to your own specifications.

I think I'm autoxing this weekend with the Windy city miata club (.com) out in Melrose Park. Come by and I'll give you a ride.

It's a car they have to drive as it feels greater than the sum of it's parts

Great car, love the look of the weels.... did they let you run at VIR without additional roll-bar... I thought you need to have an additional roll-bar to run at VIR... thanks to advise.
