Pretty neat stuff...

Off curiousity, what does virgin 300v indicate? Your first switch over? Is there a chance that you still have trace amounts of the previous oil in there? Also, what other variables are factored in? Driving conditions? Miles on car? Season?

I guess all this is off-topic to CR and is more a general s2000 question... thanks for all the info though!!!

So, who has their car put away for the winter already ?

Mine went onto blocks, under a cover, and connected to a trickle charger in early October as we have snow on the ground by 10/15 every year. It sits outside and will endure temps reaching -50f so will be anxious to see if anything cracks due to cold. (garage space much too important for my DD). Ordered a circuit hero knob last night...... Will be looking at my knob rather than my ride until spring....

What's a circuit hero knob?

I put mine away actually a week after I got it so my car has 310 or so miles on it... I'm anxious to get back in the car, but probably not till March at the earliest... I've been tempted a few times but the car is sitting on 4 donuts, and the 30 day temp tags have long since expired..... it's supposed to snow this week anyway...

Lol, you have a GPW CR sitting outside in -50F weather?

No images near as nice as yours!! Found my CR on ebay at a dealer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Shipped it up here and had major issue getting paperwork. The car didn't even have temp dealer tags when it arrived on the boat.... thus all my running around was at night with no plates..... so.... really not much of a chance for images. Odometer still under 500. I was playing a bit with wing vs. no wing and took photos of both. The wing is right on the CR. Just seems to scare some folks. Too many bad wings out there......

Any thoughts on a slightly taller tire with a stiff sidewall to take up wheel well space? I know it's counterintuitive to increase sidewall height, but?? Would one size taller be too much of a penalty in weight, create possible rub in hard cornering, etc.?

Anyone have any idea how many new CR's are still the dealer network? Even in this economy the car is a heck of a value.

Wing, vs. no wing? hmmm....

You decide.....

i think it may look better if the wing and mirrors were black...

Not a bad idea on the wing painted black. Hadn't even considered it but I like the idea. Maybe a second wing and change them out depending on mood.... hmmm

The circuit hero shift knob is simply a heavy shift knob. Something over 500 grams I think. Stainless. Recessed. My thought is that my shifts from 5th will drop easier to 6th and not to 3rd throwing the rpm's through the roof. A heavy knob shifts with a flick and with authority (if it's headed the right direction).

I'm under 500 miles on my CR most of which was the drive from Anchorage to Fairbanks. Side note... no rust or mildew issues with storage at -35f.

Drooling over Volk RE-30s.... but the oem's are growing on me..... Anyone out there have a GPW CR with RE-30's? Thinking black are gunmetal gray....

I'd like to see that as well..I'm looking at mercury silver RE30s for my apb. One of the Upper Midwest folks was kind enough to photoshop one for me.. I love them..but, if I'm trying to maintain stock suspension, I'm probably going to stick with 17s, same size..
