Don't mean to get on the soap box here, but there is a time and place to explore the performance abilities of the S2; public roads and highways are not that place.

If you need to feel your car drifting through a corner then take it to a track. That way if you make a mistake you may get away with it, without hitting some unmovable object or killing someone other than yourself.

The video with the S2 spining across the road and down the embankment illustrates what I am speaking of. It is just dumb luck that there was not a car coming the other direction that would have then been involved in a headon because some dumbass couldn't keep control of his car.

Once you have driven hard on a track you realize that you can't come close to that performance on the street, and that anything you do on the street other than just commuting is putting other people at risk.

That all being said I am very impressed with the windshield frames of S2's

I agree with the above. The only bad thing about crashing in a track is that the insurance will not cover your car, and if by chance that they do, it will be after a lengthy investigation.

yeah, at first i was not happy at all but i realized it could have been worse...he could have gotten hurt or something.

No not rich, but his insurance covered it and i didn't have to pay a dime...i was able to get a brand new fron bumper + lip, get the whole paint job as well as my hardtop painted to match perfectly, new exhaust, intake, and ever dent pulled. The car came out better than it did before the wreck so i actually ended up thanking him.

I am 100% sure he was not driving crazy as i was following right behind him. Apparently he was going and accidently went into 3rd instead of fifth doing about 45 (dont worry, i had the motor checked out to make sure he didn't bend any valves or anything), popped the clutch to quick (stage 2 clutch with a lightweight fidanza flywheel), the car got squirly and he over corrected it into a ditch while taking out a couple construction cones. It was about a mile from my house and i actually drove it home.

Here's that flipped pontiac solstice

Moral of the story is to always wear your seatbelt, and to drive the S instead of the Solstice/sky. If you flip, you'll stay safe in the cabin without being crushed.

this makes me think that s2k's are NOT meant to be raced on regular streets and i will have this mental image everytime i start to push it on highways/bendy roads.

its a nice reminder to everyone that saftey always comes first and that you share the road and by being stupid, you put others at risk too!
