spun out this weekend making left turn onto 5 lane residential street, lucky no one was around, had just rained.

made hard left turn, started to spin, overcorrected, did some gnarly fishtailing, scared the sh*t out of some lady walking her dog, and then saved it and kept on truckin'

gotta love the HP and RWD on this car
Nice userpic!

I spun mine out on 880 going around 70 MPH... It was actually not my fault a guy cut me off and I swerved to avoid being hit (he was coming straight door to door with me) and then pretty much lost control from there and hit the sound wall at around 50-60 MPH. Well I guess it was sorta my fault for swerving, I should just let him hit me... Oh well

I never spun my car ever... I have only fish tailed in the past and now since i have these kumho tires, i have been prone to slide when driving aggressive. The tires are ok for daily driving but i need some more grippier tires in the future.

You guys are scaring me

I've been driving FWD since I got my license (3.5 years ago). I have never had more than 15 minutes seat time in a rwd sports car. Basically, will I have to relearn to drive?

Don't brake halfway in a turn?

Driving home, winter time. Black Ice. Spun 5-6 times in one incident. Stopped, took a deep breath. Car still sitting in snow, progress to go 5mph and then spun out again. SHeesh. Bad winter storm and lots of black ice.

Relearn?
=> Yes

Especially in the S2000.

I also have a 240sx that I've never once spun, ever.

I dare say that until you relearn, you are at risk.

Let off the gas or hitting the brakes when cornering hard can get you into trouble.

There are too many ways to get into trouble to list, so I suggest searching for keywords like "spin" and "crash" and reading the threads.

Best way to learn RWD is on an autocross course or at a driving school. With the S2000 one or the other should be mandatory.
