nice find, eyeofmine gives links to two postive reviews, but I found this video by someone else that bought the fix and still has problems with wind noise

I started building more tow hook mounts for the Go Pro and tested a new design yesterday. With the enclosed case with the Hero2 I had very liitle wind noise at speeds of 0 to 80 plus mph with the mount on the front tow hook, you can clearly here the intake and the engine on the video. I haven't tested it on the rear tow hook mount yet. I was surprised when I watched the video after returning home. Here are some pics of the tow hook mount . Thanks David

Got my mount from David (aka: Bama) tonight! I'm not ballerific enough to have a GoPro yet, but I use my Canon SD980, which will do 720P. This thing is sturdy as shit and I think my damn tow hook would break before this thing would. Cool thing is that I *think* I can replace the center nut with a smaller one and mount my camera on the windscreen too. At any rate, I'll throw my .02 more in and maybe post a vid when I get the chance.

Special thanks for Dave for delivering on the day he said he would! Mad props!

Mocky and I have been talking about this for a bit on and off. I found some great info about the remote mic on a different site.

http://goprouser.fre...crophone#p25234

Basically the Gopro does not provide and power to a mic you hook up, so be careful, because if you get a mic that requires power, but doesn't have it built in, you are hosed. Also, the site admin provides a link to a cheap mic on Amazon, and recommends a wind sock to go over it.

Also, instead of a Stereo splitter you could get a stereo to mono adapter, and mount the mono mics in different spots to play with the stereo input.

had mine for a few days now but haven't had the chance to really try it out. i bought the helmet hero and a extra suction when amazon had the nice deal so i got both for around 200 shipped which wasn't so bad.

although i no longer have an s2k i'll post some videos once i get to play with it during my vacation. to make things worse, i just came back from a trip to the tail of the dragon and i wish i had this so much. but thanks for the info in this post, very helpful as i couldn't find much info online. (kind of wish i got the hd2 though)
