Oh how I love VSA!

lol I bought an '02 for a reason. I wanted 9000rpm, I wanted a lighter car, I wanted the suspension that will kill me, I wanted a cable connected throttle body.
Hell, I paid more for my AP1 than what most people are getting used AP2's for.
Why?
Because I've been doing this "driving" thing for a while...and I'm pretty good at it. I want no part of a computer deciding when, where and how much throttle I get. That's what I have my right foot for.
If more people thought of their cars as cars instead of another appliance like their washing machine or refrigerator, car models like the S2K would still be around and being improved.
If you think the addition of VSA, TCS, TPMS, etc are good things. You are part of the problem.

I never noticed the DBW lag to begin with. More specifically, it eliminated the rev-hang. There's no lag when you're getting on the gas, its when you get off. Civic Sis have REALLY bad rev-hang. It's an emissions thing.
On a stock 06+, I don't think it would be very noticeable, but its very apparent when combined with a lightweight flywheel. When I get off the gas, the revs start dropping immediately and faster.

If you are engaging VSA it is not a sign to rave about how you love it... its a sign that you are driving beyond your abilities.
VSA is like training wheels on a bicycle when you were 4. It "assists" those who can't control the vehicle on their own. While I would love not to wreck my car if I made a driver error...VSA may make you think you are a better driver than you really area and will come back to bite you.

I knew the VSA would correct the car if I had gone a little too far.
Oh, and just because someone in a video is a much better driver than you, don't assume that no one on here can properly driver a car.
