oh oh.. i did a booboo
i almost had a heart attack today!!!! i was showin my 2002 suzuka blue s to my friend.. and he knows car in and out.. and he goes.. look this tape by the window.. they didnt take it off.. he was referring to the tape around the wind shield... so he starts pullin it off.. and i see how hard it is to take off.. and i ask him are u sure.. hes like yep.. and its near to impossible to take it off.. but he kept on.. and i kept on askin are u sure... are u sure.. finalltyhe gets it up to enough to see what was under the black tape.. and it was the color of the car.. so i was like coo.. but he kept on.. and it started lookin like the clear coat was messed up... so i jumped in the car that second... and flew to the dealership.. and tehy didnt even know bout that black tape.. it took at least 45 min to totally remove it.. the glue was a pain to take out... but in the end the car look 10 times better. just by removin the black tape around the windshield... so just thought u guys would like to know u have an option of havin that piece around the wind shield match the rest of the car....

The black tape around the windsheild has been talked about NUMEROUS amounts of times. Consider yourself lucky that the dealer helped you out on this one. Some people have had to get there windshield frames repainted after taking off the tape. And for some, getting the dealer to repaint it under warranty wasn't an easy task.
