Nope, no free get out of jail cards! She knows better. She's suppose to set a better example. Anyway it was my fault for leaving the plate off it looks so much better. Especially since I now live in a much bigger state.

Does this mean that as an officer of the law you openly condone the fact that your wife intentionally broke the law??
No I certainly do not! I was the one that left it off. It was kind of funny though, she actually did have an legit excuse. AAAAAAGGGGGG, You caught me your honor I'm guilty, twenty lashes with a wet noodle should be sufficient. By the way, the plate is now on with a new Backyard license plate bracket courteousy of MG RACING!

here in the Bay Area, CA, we still have fix-it-ticket for having not having a front-licence plate. It cost $10.

I had one about 2 months ago, because my Porsche 968 did not have one.

The cop was really cool about it, and mentioned that it was a pity to have one on such a beautiful car, and that he had to do the same thing on his truck??? Thanks for the comparaison buddy!

Anyway, they are really starting to enforce this law, because they are installing cameras at intersection which automatically take picture of the front of your car if you run a red light...

So if you drive in San Francisco, CA please be careful...

jalbrah,

According to Trojan Horse, the no front license plate ticket is not going to be a fix it ticket in CA for much longer. It's going to be a real ticket where you have to pay the full fine and still put the license plate back on.

Ben,

That doesn't work all the time. A lot of cops will tell you to learn the rules of the state, since you live in it now. They'll say stupidity is not an excuse.
