Did your STOOK use oil during the break-in period? Mine did.

 

I went through almost two full quarts before I changed the oil at 5,000 miles (6 months) and put in Mobil 1.

Since then I put in only one quart until it was changed again six months later at 12,000 miles.

P.S. Hey skarv, I following the owner's manual recommendation for changing the oil at six months!

 

Yep, me too. It drank 1.5 quarts by 3000 miles. I changed the oil at 4000 miles. It has not consumed any more at the 5000 mile mark. I've only had it for 7 weeks.

Known S2000 Forum Tip :
It uses 5.5 quarts to fill up. Go by the dipstick and not the owners manual.

You're correct - it takes 5.5 to 5.6 quarts to change the oil and filter. What filter are you using? I used the Honda filter.

 

Oil consumption seems to vary considerably. We have not added ANY in 10000+ miles. Oil changes at 2000, 5000, 10000. Mobil 1 at 5K.
