Is it normal that my engine oil level gets from MAX to nearly MIN in about 5000 km ?
I do change the oil every 5000 km.

 

It all depends on how many miles you have on your car. Many owners have reported some oil consumption in the first few thousand miles/kilometers. This usually levels off after a while; I have 15,000 miles on mine, and I haven't had to add any oil between changes for at least 10,000 miles.

 

For a new car yes.....most oils losses stop at about 5,000 miles when the rings are properly seated.

 

My consumption was 0.5 liter over the first 4000 kms and not a drop in the next 1000 kms. Pretty normal for a new engine during break-in I reckon.

Well, I almost have 30000 km (about 19000 miles?) and this is still happening. From MAX to MIN in about 5000 km
