OIL CONSUMPTION and OIL dipstick
1. On the oil dipstick, I see 5 diamond-shaped markings between the L and the H (or F, can't remember). Does each marking represent some quantity of oil?
2. As of now, the bottom 3 markings have oil and the top 2 don't when I pull the dipstick out. Car is @ 2100 kms, have been up to 8-9k rpm TWICE only, have been up to 6k rpm THREE times only. (yeah i keep track, pathetic isn't it?). Is that normal?
3. If I want to put some oil to replenish what was lost, what kinda of oil should I use? Synthentic?

NOT synthetic. Says in the owners manual.
It's normal to keep track of how many times you've redlined it. What ISN'T normal is how few times you have.

All of the answers to these questions can easily be found in your owners manual. I strongly suggest you pull it out and go over it cover to cover. There's a ton of great info. in there that will add to your enjoyment of your car and increase your knowledge.
