Oil level Down
I got an oil change 1K miles ago. Checked my oil this morning and I am down to one tick over the low line on the dipstick. I am down probably 2-3 qts and am going to put more in but this is the first time my S has burned oil like this. Anyone else experiance this? Should I be concerned?
Sounds like the place that did the oil change did not properly check the oil level. heard other's complain about this problem thats why I do my own oil changes or have the dealer change it.
If you are just a tick over the "low" line, DO NOT put in 2-3 qts. The whole area between the "Low" and "full" lines represents 1 quart only. If you put in 3 qts, you will be very sorry.
Depending on how you drive (frequency of VTEC) and how many miles are on your car, 1 qt. in 1000 miles is not unusual.

1qt! tops.
This usually happens when they add the oil, and do not fire it up, then check again - they forget that the filter will pull a fair amount of oil. Another reason to DIY. A good shop always starts the car to check for leaks from poor install or defective gasket. Then wait 5 minutes, check level again.
