Default Which Oil to use if you're switching??

I have some time till I make the switch to synthetic but after the Mobil1 reformulation with their SuperSyn I don't know what to consider. I think I will stay with an API SJ or SH rated oil since I don't want any problems with the dealer if they challenge that on any warrantee work.

AMSOIL or Royal Purple Multi-Blend.

Out of the choices above I guess Castrol but they are all inferior.

yup, I know that. Have to wait till the seals have settled. I'll probably switch around 12 000kms.

It seems like you guys will still stick with the new Mobil 1 even though it has low zinc levels to protect wear. I think AMSOIL and Redline are the best but they aren't API SJ or SH rated so they aren't considered.
