Which oil to use on USED car

5 to 6k for me ....just normal 10w30 "chevron", check level often

3k oil chage is a waste.

Let me throw another "wrench" in the works. If your "new" car is used and the service history is unknown, you might be wise to change the tranny fluid, diff fluid, clutch and brake fluid, too. I'd tell you to do the power steering fluid but that would just be mean.
