Running a decent all season on mine. i dont feel like shelling out 1400 for 18" blizzaks or 1300 for my 17" off sets
doing decently just gotta ease the throttle on ice and be expecting for the front to slide a bit before it grabs.

I was out the last two days with the re050's which are really bald now. I was driving around in NY with the snow storm. Talk about horrible traction haha. Never again until I get some snow tires will I bring it out in the snow. Did the same thing last winter and went into a snow bank. Not worth it to drive in the snow unless you have snow tires. Especially not with ultra high performance summer tires that are bald.

I think stupid is more the case haha. I got stuck in the snow on a flat surface after being shoveled leaving only 1/8th" most of snow on ground. Just kept spinning. Ridiculous.

It's a challenge for sure. I've driven on 1/4" with ES100s and was whiteknuckled on the wheel the entire way to the tire shop.

Don't try it with the stock tires. I had an experience with the road just turning white and spun leaving a gas station. Headed slowly back to the house and when I crossed over a small bridge and going up the hill on the other side at ~30 mph, the rear broke lose and wound up spinning around 180 deg in the middle of the road after almost going in the ditch. When one wheel spins, both wheels spin, and when both wheels spin, the car is out of control. Nuff said.

I am on Espelir springs and have little to no trouble in the snow. This is my first RWD car and this weekend was my first experience driving an S2000 in a blizzard. I made sure to replace my Hankook K106s with Cooper Weathermaster ST2s for Winter. They can be studded, but I left mine without studs. I'm using the stock wheels.

Summary: Get snow tires and you're all set, even if dropped more than 1"!

The best thing about the S is that it's so responsive. This attribute comes out even more in snow driving. If you make a little mistake, you can correct for it quickly.

Even though this weekend was my first time with the car in the snow, it didn't take long before I was happily rotating my rear end around corners and doing a bit of low speed, 4-wheel drifting. It's actually a lot of fun!
