Default Ok Honda... Enough Is Enough. Where's the S3000?

I've been quiet for the past year about this, but I just can't take it anymore. I just read that DC is releasing a Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster with a 330 hp supercharged V6. Why is it that EVERY other roadster out there has powerplant options and we don't?

It can be done.

Either Honda needs to offer another powerplant option for the S2000 or create a sports car to fit between the S2000 and NSX.

I think honda knows exactly what it is doing...

not confusing the issue...

The s2k is perfection as it is (ok... as it was before 04)

there is no need for an additional powerplant to jack the car's price over 40k..

The +$40k S3000 would be an option for those who wanted to pay it. the 2.2L version would still be sold for $32,800.

If every company took that approach then we wouldn't have great cars like the Z06, WRX Sti, M3, E55, or the Porsche GT2.

There is a void between Honda's two sports cars and the S3000 would fill that void nicely.

I remember when the whole S2000 Type R myth was floating around and every forum from here to LS1 was buzzing. The S2000 was bad enough! The S3000 was going to be a serious giant killer.

But you know what I think. I think Honda shot it's self in the foot when they decided to leave good enough alone with the NSX. How can they come out with an S3000 when the NSX doesn't even have 300 hp? If the NSX didn't exist, the S3000 would have been out in 2002.

Honda needs a $50,000 sports car. That way we would stop looking on autotrader for used NSX's becasue we can't afford the new ones

i think everything is fine where it is.
you cant really make S2K better than what it is now.

only complain that i have is that NSX shouldnt be 80k car. more like 60k so that it is in M3 range.

i personally thing that honda is a car company that puts more emphasis on its accords and civics. This is where i think that they make the most of thier money. The s2000 and the nsx are not thier primary concerns when it comes to making money. My opinion i think is that they should make a $40000 sports car under the acura name and make it compete with the likes of an M3 or an S4, also it needs rear wheel drive. However we dont see honda making a rear wheel drive car in the future.soooo we might as well see if how the tl a-spec or the new rl will fair
