Ok Honda... Enough Is Enough. Where's the S3000?

The S2000 doesn't need a V6. It could benefit from maybe a bit more power or beefed up internals to rev to 9 grand again. But what would improve this car is a savings in weight. They should keep it basically the same, with a factory subwoofer, and save weight where they can. Even a couple hundred pounds would greatly improve the handling and acceleration of the car. They should not, and I don't think they will, go the route of the BMW Z4.

The s2000 in it's present forms is a car that has a very special character to it unlike any other car on the road. To make a "giant killer" out of it would take away it's endearing qualities. I think Honda should simply make another model all together to fit into this void you see. Just my two cents.

Ok, so instead of an S3000, you think that Honda should just reintroduce the Prelude and make it a $45000 car with the above stated specs.

As long as they offer a convertible option, I'm in agreeance with that idea as well. As long as you're with me on the need for a $45,000 sports car.

I do agree for the need and would love for Honda to step up to the plate and flex it's design and engineering prowess and introduce something that falls between the two models. Bye virtue of the gap existing calls for it to be filled.

i still believe that honda could produce a n/a V-8 the size of a cosworth that would fit the s2000 just fine.....trust me..if such a car existed for under 60k most of you guys would be on it in a blink...think of it as a modern 289 cobra [with honda technology thrown at it]..if they built it ..you would come.
