OK So How Complicated Is This Computer??
I know it records highest RPM, but does it record Shift points too? And how many/how long can it hold its memory?
I know ABS has a computer memory of ABS events and even records if your seatbelt is on or not. . .
Just wondering what honda can read off you car, Top Speed too??
Somebody out there knows
And yes this is about the S2000's ECU and related stuff . . .

cmnsnse,
over in my thread about the Proflow throttle body I mentioned that my idle comes up to over 2000 RPM whenever the vehilce speed is 3 MPH or over, but drops to around 1000 RPM when speed goes under 3 MPH. So apparently the ECU is monitoring speed, and reacting to it.
Just another piece of data...

Thats interesting, I havnt paid any attention to the Idle speed above and below certain speeds. I would say mine doesnt do that, but Ill go check right now
I know the TB definatly changed my Idle, but I have also wondered why if your stopped and rev it to say 3000rpm and hold it, with the accelerator in the same place, the ecu drops the rpm considerably? One of the S2000's personality traits I suppose.
