please bear with me...as everyone knows, the search function on this site itsnt the best.

I just got back from the SHELL gas station. I told the guy to fill it up with V-Power, paid with a card, signed and left. When I got home I looked at the receipt and it says 87 octane $2.879. V-Power here costs $3.07. I'm screwed because I VTECed at least 3 times on the way home. I had 2 bars of 93 octane in there before this. What should I do? Octane booster? please help!!!

 

u should be fine...the car will automatically retard the timing to compensate for the lower octane. just fill up with premium again with your next fill up.

One tank of 87 won't destroy your engine. Long term use of it could. You could add some octane booster or just drive it easy until your next fillup.

 

Octane booster if you're compulsive.
Otherwise just go for a nice long cruise without romping on the throttle.
