I didnt wait, I realized I wanted it and went and signed on the dotted line.....

of course, I live in the UK at the time, as as you may or may not know, they do not stock car over there like they do here....I had to wait almost 5 months for my car to be made/shipped to me. Monte Carlo Blue GT.

When i got my 04 here, I think I ended up waiting 6 weeks while the dealer found a dealer trade for me - I was adamant I wanted the silverstone with red/black interior.

It took me almost 18 months from the day I first drove the S to make it happen. Had to deal with financial issues and some life changing events during that time.

I saw it at the 1998 Chicago Auto show as a concept and fell in love.

I belive that in my area, I needed a primary car FIRST and the S2000 as a secondary car. It took me 5 years to get it all together to have the S2000 has a second car.

I actually went to the dealership to test drive the Accord hybrid with my wife. They did not have one and I mentioned to give me a call if they have any used S or new Accord Hybrid in stock. That was thursday. I got a called on Saturday about the S just came in and I went test drove it Monday and bought it right then.

I waited close to 18 months. I just couldn't justify getting rid of the old Civic until it died, which it conveniently did back in February.

I waited about a year from the time I first learned of the S2000 to signing on the dotted line. But once I firmly decided this was to be my next car, it took about a week.

3 years I wanted to trade in my Civic for a convertible before I started law school in '01, but at that time, there was basically the S, the Boxster and the TT (didn't want a Miata) and none of them had been around long enough for there to be a decent used market. I kept coming back to the S, stuck it out with the Civic through law school, and got my new '05 S a couple months after I started work in '04.
