if you wanna see a smokin video of the s2000 at the 'Ring (Nordschleife/Nurburgring/Green Hell), buy the Best Motoring International #1 video (Type R Legend). Besides a full hour dedicated to the NSX, NSX-R, 96/98 ITR and CTR, there's 10min of footage at the end of Gan-San taking the S2000 prototype (really only a pre-production model) on an 08:12 BTG lap of the ~14mi circuit. that, my friends, is hella fast.

8:12 is impossible for the S2000 at the N'ring ... no matter who is driving. An '02 911 did best of 8:17, e46 M3 did a best of 8:20, Viper best of 8:15 and an F355 around 8:13.
Best time for the S2000 is 8:39 by "Sports Auto" magazine. I'm sure that it's possible to go quicker ... maybe 9secs but certainly not an 8:12.
ps. I do have the BM vidoe.
