One-Touch Top Down
It seems to me that one-touch top down would be a nice feature. It's come up from time to time, but I haven't seen anyone actually do it.
I would think this is a simple requirement of a timed relay installed inline with the output of the current switch.
Has anyone done this or could anyone instruct me on how to get wire this correctly? I believe I know logically in my head but want to make sure there are no little quirks that I should know about before I attempt.

there was a thread about this a few months ago. i don't think anyone knew of someone who had done it.
agreed it could be done though--just a pair of linear actuators for the latches, some programming, and it could work. one touch up would take a lot more work.

Just referring to a timed relay so you don't have to hold the button to drop the top.

no no, I don't even mean the power latches.

You should be able to do this with a power window module. The module hooks inline with the motor wiring. It senses the change in load when the motor reaches resistance like when the top gets to the point where it is fully open or closed. You could do it with a timed relay, but if for any reason the motor is slower or faster you can have issues.

not to change the topic but i know there is a mod to make your top go down while driving(i.e when side break is not pulled)...is this mod easy to do?
Cut or remove 1 wire from the power top harness under the passenger dash. If you know what you're doing it'll take under 1 minute easily. And that's if you drop your tools 4 times.
