September 27th was my 1 year anniversary. I have had my S for a little over a year.

I figured people would like to hear about a MY'00 taking all kinds of abuse and still putting out. Yeah, at least 150 clutch dumps on R compounds. I think my secret is to make sure you break loose the traction right away. I think that takes the shock from drive train... I don't know?

Unbeleivably enough, I haven't touched the stock stereo. Everytime I think about it I need new race tires or I spend the money on a mic or some other piece of cool ish.

... and now I have to save for a ring.

WOW - good luck there! Consider buying the "rock" first, then find a setting.
You'll get more for your money that way, and probably a better stone.

Good Luck,

What model do you have? I'd be interested in hearing some of the problems you're having if you don't mind. I really didn't think Nissan would be that bad... and trust me we have our fair share of problems. You just came on a good day

Its the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V. The main problem is the motor, the QR25DE. Its only used in SpecVs (maybe SE-Rs as well, not sure). Its not the sr20whatever thats so common.

Biggest Problems: Intake Mainfold sucking in Butterfly screws. Self explaitory. Not good news.

Pre-cat failure. Not sure what exactly that is, but alot of people have had it happen to them. From what I hear, replacing the stock header with an aftermarket on will eliminate the problem, but Im not exactly sure.

Theres a handful of others, tranny etc etc. And I just see problems with it down the road. Id say 70% of SpecV owners on the web boards have some sort of major problem.

Oh and whats this, problems with a Honda!? Unpossible! Yea I know it will have issues as well but I dont think theyll be as big. Im hoping anyway.

150 clutch dumps and no problems? Awesome...
I also believe that I'll be luvin' this car for sometime, it was my affordable dreamcar back in 99', and now in 04 it sure hasn't disappointed me in the slightest. I also find myself taking detours just so I can drive it that little bit longer. When you start doing things like that, you know you have a winnAr on your hands

a spring spacer in the rear shock after 15K miles?!

that previous owner must've been happy to get rid of his S because-- for some reason-- the rear would just break loose too easily.
Yeah, it's funny but there is some fender repair on the side where the spring spacer was. I felt like calling the previous owner to let him know he had a law suit on his hands but I didn't.

It was funny when I was trying to figure the car out. It would give out so easy when taking left turns and it would hang in there taking right turns. Ha ha ha... oh boy. Silly PDI.
