I just got back from the beach and noticed that some A$$hole had reversed into my S and scraped up all the paint on the top of the nose of the car with some small denting to the plastic.

Fortunately the hood wasn't touched, but I'm worried about the denting of the plastic, you can't really see it in direct sunlight, but under lower light you can see where it has been pushed in and all the grazing of the paint acorss the width of the nose.

Can these plastic noses be repaired or am I going to have to replace the whole damn thing??

If I have to replace it, does anyone know approx how much it would cost???????

Don't know about your S, but someone did this same thing to my Miata (currently for sale - after I get it fixed...) and the estimates so far are around 1200 dollars. Basically, it means a remove and replace the bumper cover.

Ouch.

After having my S2000 for only 1 week a lady in a Avalanche decided she was going to back up at red light and get into a parking space . No major damage ,just cut the plastic bumper with the hitch receiver. The cost was 750.00 to replace and paint the bumper at the dealership. Funny part or more like not so funny, was this lady was test driving the truck from the Chevy dealership....should have been a sign for her to get a smaller truck, it wasn't cause I found out she ended up buying it. Scary

How bout finding the best exotic bodyshop in your area and calling your insurance to make a comprehensive claim. By law, they can not hike your rates. This is why we pay hundreds of dollars in insurance (well, some of us..) is so that we don't have to financially worry about this sort of thing...

Also consider putting a Honda or aftermarket (I like the Amuse..) lip with this opportunity : )

Good luck!

Notion, that sucks. I hate people that just run away from an accident.

I think the plastic can be reformed in a special hot water bath, but it's probably easier to just replace the bumper cover.
