Nothings as as good as my 96 Accord Sylvania Silverstars......

but really,
I love the S2000s HIDs. I also drive a IS300 and they do nothing for me. I think I actually have feeling for my HIDs They're so bright and crisp. Sometimes I wish they had maybe a purplish hue to them but I still love 'em.

The s2000 HID's are rated the best of any production automobile, including the Q45. Their light is perfectly aimed and the brightness is brilliant. I have been in Audi's BMW's, Mercedes (rated the worst), Acura's, Lexus, and the s2000's are much better and more effective. However, there is one flaw that one member already mentioned. Since the cutoff is literally perfect, and the fact that the s2k is so low, it makes it hard to see uphill, or highway signs that are high up. Oh well, HID high beams coming soon!!!

our hids perform great and plus they look amazing at night. i let my friends/family drive the car sometimes and when im in my accord or some other car, i can't believe how awesome the lights look. the cutoff is perfect and the lights change from blue to purple, etc.

anyone got a movie clip of the hids at night time(while in motion)?

thanks

I agree, they are very good. I've yet to make a direct compairsion on the S2k vs Q45 hid's, but both are the best I've seen. The neat thing about the Q is, you can adjust them yourself from inside.

Some cool pictures:

They say the Q's hid's are about 25% brighter than the LS430's hid's.

I need to get on an open road at night with both cars side-by-side.

I think S2000 has HID best beam pattern and brightness than any other the cars that I have drove.
But S2000 lacks auto-leveling and headlight washer tho.

Isnt every car with HID suppose to have auto-leveling and headlight washer by law these days??

I can't believe the DOT hasn't banned the S2K HIDs by now. When I used to drive on the freeway, I could clearly see my beam pattern (from my lowered S2K) bouncing up and down on the signs 1/4 of a mile down the road! How can these be street legal?

Hahah, no kidding. And not just way down the road, but to the sides as well. I agree that the S2000's are the best I've seen, setting aside the auto-levelling thing which I have to admit I kinda like on my IS300. The colors are cool too.. I was looking at the beam up close on an incline and at the edges there are these fine lines of yellow and blue.

Try this trick next time you're driving around at night: With the sharp beam cutoff, you can convince yourself that you don't actually have lights on, but instead you just have the top half or so of your windshield darkly tinted (with a notch in the middle of course). My wife actually asked me why I had gotten the windshield done that way the first time she rode with me since she hadn't seen the car in the daytime yet.

i really like the honda's low beams.....i even thought the highs were pretty good till my wife got her A6 avant...man when you hit the hi's the whole damn world lites up.that coupled with the self leveling makes it a good fast nite car...i think the honda has a h1 bulb and the audi an h4..i'm sure the cp can't be much different so it must be the reflector prisms....i like the ability to see at nite soo much i have a set of 7" piaa pro rally lights ready to mount...that should bring the s2k up to audi standards..and beyond!! [actually the piaa's have two beams so it may be possible to have 4 beams!!]
