make sure you check for spring spacers (re: twitchy on corners) - there is a stuck thread at the top. enjoy the car. I debated between a daytona blue track and the S - I'm glad I went with the S - but I am still a big fan of the Z. Last time I went to Lime Rock there was a caravan of 350 owners and they were really cool - they let me out of a gas station and right into the line of Z cars- very cool.

Check the service records and see when there was or if there was an oil change. Your question about synthetic. There is a lot of differing opinions about when to change it over to synthetic. Do a search on oil change and you will find a lot of info. I changed mine to synthetic at 10,000. Some people don

zsak - like nospoon said - definitely make sure that ALL the spring spacers are removed. It's dangerous to drive around with them in, and some dealerships don't take them all out.

removing the orange corner diffuser is a free mod, we do it all the time and if you're in the area we can do yours also. If you want to replace the orange with another type of diffuser, see Rick's web site, about $90 a set.

Good choice. I really like Sebring. I test drove the 350Z before buying the S and I felt the same way you do about it. Hondas are just put together well.

Enjoy!

In response to ZSAK:

Personally, I would say that headlight clearings are at least very intimidating, if not outright hard. I had the pro do it (w1ngman), he can do it easily as a secondary task while holding a conversation. If you are anywhere near Richmond, VA, you may be able to have him do it in one of his occasional regional clearings. If not, you could send it to Rick's (www.ricks2k.com), they will probably send it to him anyway (or someone similarly skilled). Rick's also has instructions on doing a clearing yourself, if you feel up to it!

Do you mean the clutch catches very high on the S? If so, that was my problem at first with the car. I moved my seat back and got used to where it catches and no problems since. You will get used to it. Enjoy

We recently had a tech day down here in south Florida among many of our
local members and several clutches needed adjustments. Well, I wouldn't say "needed"
but the take up was just too high from the factory. Mine was too high
and after the adjustment, we got it down to about 5-inches of travel...perfect. Check the throttle cable for about 1/4-inch of travel as well. It's not uncommon to see the T-cable very loose. One owner's cable was literally like a rubber band...probably 1-inch of take up if not more. You don't want to overtighten it but 1/4 inch is good.
And no, that's not me in my avitar. I'm a 42-yr-old male with a LOT more silver in my hair
Welcome!

Thanks for the info ams, I know I won't know how to do it, and I don't want to mess anything up. So for the time being, I may leave it as is. Richmond is kinda far aways from florida lol, but I do pass thru there on occasion going to DC.

As far as the clutch 1fast99si, it catched at a good point, but before it catches there is some play before engagement. I can put my foot on it and it feels like there is some looseness until I put some presurre then it tightens up. It just maybe the nature of the clutch.
