This corner almost got me when I had my Fiesta ST, but in that I could just understeer like mad and found it always managed to find traction just before hitting the edge of the track lol! Was so fun! My understeering fiesta sounded louder than most of the Porsches lol! Screeeeech!

Scary stuff. I'm about to track my AP1 for the 1st time later this month. This video isn't helping my confidence!

From what I've been told... If you make an error on your first track day don't try and over correct it. For those of us that don't quite know what we're doing it can end in disaster. Hell even depending on how you lose it you are better off driving straight into the grass if you have the space instead of sliding and catching causing a roll.

I went as a passenger in several vehicles.. I'm far from prepared and no I don't have any experience yet but it did seal up many questions I had prior to not going at all.

In the second video you can see how early the driver is on the brakes, I'd be at full opposite lock with my foot to the floor before any braking was done...
Whoever reads this, do not do that. Will have the same result as the videos.
I'd rather try to control a powerslide than lifting off completely and hoping for the best.

From what I've been told that is what you are supposed to do.. Here is a video that Blue aka Outkast on here took of a result in letting off the throttle. Him and the drive of this car had warned me about this after the trackday I went too.

Remember, slow in, fast out and stay comfortable. If you do go off it isnt that big of a deal, I've been off a few times my ego still lives...

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/520...mpetition-faq/ helps too.
Get better brake fluid, ATE Superblue if you can. Better brake pads would be good too.

I never said lift off completely . It's all about throttle control, not lifting off, or mashing the throttle. I never ever ever ever lift, never recommend it either.

In that last video it's scary how quickly that blue s2k snapped back!!

I'm thinking twice about tracking my s2k now. Perhaps I should buy a cheap fwd to track! More predictable!
