Default Owners of G-tech RR performance meter?

I'm considering the new G-tech RR meter, and was wondering what owners think of it. I don't track my cars, but I'd love to be able to get reasonably objective performance graphs for my 2 fun-cars (integra type-r and S2000) over time and over modifications.

I'd like thoughts on:
- Ease of use
- Fun to use?
- Seem accurate?
- PC software decent?
- How much better than older generation meters is it? I had G-tech original and it was cool, but I wanted more granularity of data. Until recently owned AP-22, but it died.

Pros and cons?

Thanks in advance!

I have one. It isn't too bad to use. My only complaint is the suction cup that comes with it. It is a bitch to get stuck to the windshield but once it is stuck, it is a bitch to get off. I don't know how accurate it is but it sure is consistent. Consistency is what I am most concerned with. I can make changes and immediately know what the difference was. Mainly, I got it for autocross so that I could compare my runs and see where I was slow or fast. There is also a program available on line that you can download for $20 that will take your data from the G-Tech and actually create a map of your run. I have not downloaded that yet but I do plan on having it done by next weekend so I can map my runs down the Dragon.

BTW, with Konis, Ground Controls at 400lbs front and 450lbs rear, stock front sway bar and 205/50/15 Falken Azenis and lots of camber, my 92 Civic achieved 1.03 G's of cornering force at my last autocross.

Overall, I give the G-Tech

That sounds pretty good.

I'm not sure what you mean about the windshield mount, however... Why is it so difficult to stick to the windshield? Is it a design flaw?

I don't know. Maybe it is the material that the suction cup is made of. the suction cups on my Valentine ! are a much softer material and stick very well. The G-Tech suction cup is made of a harder material. Maybe it will stick better in the warmer weather.

Have you tried wetting the suction cup when attaching it? That's what I do on my V1 when attaching it.

Pick up the latest issue of Car and Driver, they do a great review on these devices. BTW, they chose the Race Technology AX22 as their favorite (and most accurate).
