Owners of G-tech RR performance meter?

Well, I just read the review, and your comment when I asked whether the Gtech-rr was reviewed was: "yup, it came out 4th out of 7". I wanted to clarify this, because your statement left me at least thinking that they actually rated them in terms of what they thought was a good performance meter.
They had pros and cons for each, but when you say it came in 4th out of 7, it was LISTED 4th out of 7, because they were listed by price. They didn't even give them ratings.
So it really isn't a feature or performance rating at all.
Based on the feature list they did show, and the pros and cons, I'd go directly to the Gtech-RR as the best buy for the money. It had almost as many features as the AX-22, for less than 1/3rd the price ($300 vs. $960).
Here's what they said in their pros/cons summary:
"Highs: Good accuracy without calibration, fantastically useful PC software, lots of unique features that you can learn to appreciate.
Lows: Sunlight can make the screen difficult to read.
The Verdict: It does a lot for $300."
Anyway, I hope that clarification is helpful.
One more thing I just noticed... The picture they show in the C&D review appears to be a Gtech-pro competition model (not the RR). And they mentioned the screen difficulty in bright light. I wonder if they actually upgraded the competition to the RR via firmware, and if the screen problem is actually only with the older model. (no idea, but a guess based on the blue screen of the competition, and the fact that it is upgradeable). Just wondering!

I agree on the G-tech being the best value for the money for me as well. I'm just hesitant to make blanket claims like the G-tech is clearly the best. All sorts of different buyers exist on these boards. For instance many think nothing of spending upwards of $1k on an exhaust system that might net you 3hp. I think that is insane, but others can justify it. For me the ax22 would only be the best if I was racing competitively, for others... I'm not willing to make assumptions.
