Owners, how many years for your S2000?

10+ years, but I don't plan on babying it. I just figure that if it's paid for then I'm going to drive it until it drops. My Rx7 lasted me for 10 years and 188,000 miles before an abrupt shortening of the hood turned it into scrap.
I hope to replace my rear S02's another 10 or 11 times before I'm done.

I've been shopping for a 2000-2001 MY, and have talked to about a dozen sellers and their #1 reason for selling, almost to a man, is that the car is now impractical for their needs, i.e. new family.

MORE ORGASMS, FEWER KIDS.
I believe I will upgrade a few years after I pay it off (5 or 6 or maybe 7 years down the line)
Ill prolly keep the S rather than trade it in, so I can have both an s2000 (my 1st TRUE love AND a z06,m3 or nsx, whichever I decide

I like the poll, I disagree with the comments after the years there are so many more reason then those.
1. upgrade to NSX, newer S2K (some people mile the heck out of there cars and might just want a fresh one.
2. Ferrari Time

I had my '92 Prelude for 12 years, and I love the S even more!
My wife has the sensible car (Jeep Cherokee) and we're not having kids (since she has two sons), so I am figuring 10 years unless a new S is released that blows me away the way this one did.

Only three reasons I will not be driving my S2000:
1. It blows up
2. Somebody gives me an NSX
3. Somebody gives me an Enzo
I have over 45,000 on a 2000 and I still love driving it. I just can't see it getting old.

Personally, this will be the toy in the showroom like 3rd garage space (You know, when I have a 3-car), that frees me up to buy sensible cars for daily drivers but still have an S. My friend's father has a 60s jag convertible (think Austin Powers) in his 3rd space. That's me.
My original plan was to turn it in at the end of the lease, but after the 1st six months (now 3 years) I decided to keep it. The lease is up in six months and I plan to pay the entire car off before then.
