Has anyone read page 206 of the 2001 owners manual yet? If memory serves, our car is a Honda and not an Acura .

"Clean your Acura's aluminum alloy weels....."

Interesting.

I just re-read the linked thread, and since I work at both an Acura dealer and a Honda dealer, I've got to say I wish they had stayed with the plans for it being an Acura. The division should have a convertable. Rich Thomas was the head at the Acura Division and Dick Colliver was the head at Honda. When Thomas was "sacked", and Colliver took over both divisions, he "annexed" the S2K for "his" division, Honda. Just think, 7000 cars into 250 Acura dealers would have given a large dealer 50 to 100 a year. We would have the 4/50 warranty, loan cars, and mechanics who are factory trained to work on NSXs! FWIW, I service my car at Acura, except if it's warranty work.

Jay Li thinks the two divisions are silly and only cater to those who are snobs. I disagree, there will always be snobs, but for the most part, Acura customers "work" for a living and (in my experiance) seem to appreciate the service a smaller volume dealer can provide.

I saw the same thing today!!! I was going to post about it too. Looks like you beat me to the punch.

BTW pellisS2k, I don't think there's anything wrong with starting up a new thread. I'm sure most everything in the discussion forum has been discussed at one point or another.

### begin canned rant ###
yes - there are many interesting threads that are worth revisiting for new opinions or because new members just like chiming in.
but... there are other threads (in particular questions like this, or "how long is the break-in period", or "is there a turbo for the S2K") where a simple use of search first will get you a complete and total answer more quickly and without wasting resources.
in addition, even with the threads that are worth revisiting - it makes more sense to provide continuity and a complete point of view and avoid members having to restate past points if someone FIRST search, and then when they find a relevent thread - they can RESPOND to it (bringing it back to the active threads.
know what I mean?
### end canned rant ###

I can see what you're saying about having previous threads about a subject, but there's something self-gratifying about having many people respond to a post that you started. Don't you think? It's like have a guy in a Ferrari pull up to you and give you a big thumbs up!!!
