PAC Dash Cantrol Interface
PAC has on their website revised instructions including a s2000 specific .pdf file for intallation of the SWI3 dash control interface. Links:
SWI3 guide (revised April 5, 2001)http://www.go2pac.com/pdf_files/swi3instr.pdf
SWI3 s2000 specific intructions (revised April 7, 2001) http://www.go2pac.com/pdf_files/swibull3.pdf
I wonder if these revised instructions work properly.

Sunny,
It was due to my contact with one of their engineers. I was talking shop with him about the unit, and explained how the instructions lacked a bit, how more owners would like to use it.
Within a few hours of my request he had upgraded the instructions (although I thought the schematic he added did NOT help as much as it should...there are only poin numbers, but no correspondance with physical connections).
For a slightly more clear set of install instructions, see my webpage. I also list the closest place in New England to pick up a PAC unit and the price of $80. The original instructions worked just fine, it's just that their choice of wording was a bit confusing.
This is how a business should be run! The guy was friendly and VERY prompt about his answers (this was done around 11:00 p.m. on a Saturday night!!!). I wish more businesses were like it.
If anyone needs help setting their unit up, please feel free to send me mail. And if you order, tell 'em Mac sent ya

Is this the same one 2X6 Speed was pushing a month or so back? I got a Pinky Mod and could'nt be happier. His workmanship is really good.....and his technical support....well, it was awesome too even though it was only needed for fear of the unknown rather then actual problems.
Remember you get what you pay for.

Hi Utah S2K
It is the same one I mentioned in my post. They are located in Santa Ana, California, just down the road from Newport Beach. Stumbled on PAC while web surfing. I wasn't pushing anything, just sharing information. Turned out to be the same unit that Pinky modifies for resale. I haven't gotten one, waiting for an electronics knowledgeable person to post the exact procedures to make all functions work.

Utah: Pinky's mod IS the PAC unit, the same one listed here and in the other post (minus the PAC sticker). I agree, his workmanship is quality, but for those of us who are do-it-yourselfers and love saving a few bucks, this is the way to go.
2x6: Check my webpage and see if the instructions are clear enough. If not, feel free to suggest any modifications to the instructions. All functions from the stock controls are repeatable, including the mute button (in fact, the mute button can be done WITHOUT the PAC). With the addition of some more buttons and resistors, you could add more functions (an option I'm considering in the interim, of my LCD panel project).

I found an online retailer that has the PAC unit for 59.95 plus shipping
