last night i accidentally discovered a great way to check out a car's paint/finish condition. i went into the dark garage with a flashlight and accidentally shined it on the car- man, i could not believe what i saw! swirls, dirt, and all kinds of stuff that did not show at all in the sun (the car looked clean in daylight). i know that this works on a black car- wondering if the same applies to other colors. next thing you know, i will be washing the car by flashlight!!!

Put away the flashlight or you'll never be satisfied again. Everything shows up.

Get that car under a fluorescent light if you really want to see how your paint looks.

It'll show everything .... and I mean everything.

It especially shows all the scratches that the FIRSTFINISH Polish left behind!

And they say there are no abrasives. HA!

I have a guy who specialises in buffing, polymer treatments, zymol etc.

I had him buff my car and the finish is like glass... not a swirl mark in it... even under the fluoro light.

I know others may shudder at the thought but if you can find somebody who truly _knows_ what they are doing with an orbital buffer it is well worthwhile.

I also use nothing but cheesecloth to wash and polish my car. You can buy this in rolls from most auto shops.
