Default paint or not to paint rear black piece?

My rear got clipped, so its getting fixed. I was thinkin' if i should have them paint the rear black bottom piece that is between the exhaust... with either black gloss, leave it alone or red to match the whole car. which my car is red by the way.

has anybody painted theirs? what do you guys think?

to get a good look at the rear, check out:

I don't need to paint mine, it's black.

Had a local with black S that painted the little black piece on the back silver. He had Rick's black and sliver S badges for the wheels and the steering wheel, and it looked good with the behind the seat/headrest silver part.
