I tried painting 'em fellas and simply didn't have the time to do it properly so after looking at the results of the right side base, I quickly removed the paint and went back to chrome for the exact same reason stated above by Nice-Face...because it keeps the mirrors original. I can always have a paint shop attempt to suzuka the bases for $150 but bear in mind, if I ever want to sell them, I've just narrowed those interested in the mirrors down to one group of owners so me thinks I will keep 'em chrome for now.
Thanks for the answers (even yours WRS2K 'cause I have fun bantering back and forth with ya). A little humor in here wouldn't hurt every now and then.
