Default Painting nicks and chips on car

When I bought my 06 s2k it had quite a bit of paint chips on the front end. I guess the previous owner resided where theres a bunch of gravel. Anyways, I did some touch ups with some Honda touch up paint ( same color code as my car) and it looks like crap.

Does anyone do something different besides just rolling the paint or using the little brush to paint chips on their cars?? To be honest, I'd rather just have the nicks showing unless theres an alternative.

What do you all do when you have chips on your front end?

Please advise,
Jmike

mine has several paint chips and only ~10k miles. i'm going to fix them when i move, but it's just not worth fixing until then--many thanks to the negligent local construction and mining industries....

have a look at this thread:

Yeh that is a pretty crazy thread I don't know if I could do that but awesome nonetheless!

If you want it to be perfect though just bite the bullet and get her repainted at a top rated shop. Will cost some $$$$ though.

Or prevent said situation in the first place with a clear bra, which will protect you from smaller rock chips somewhat.

I have found this thread on another board to be very helpful.

The key is to properly prep the area to be worked on; and do not rush yourself.

If i used the touch up paint already and dont like it, what can i use to take if off without hurting the actual paint? I'd like to take if off but I'm afraid of peeling off the actual paint.

Thank
