Parents finally gave in!
My parents bought my first car as well.
A 1973 TOYOTA CORONA!!!
I think they paid $1500 for it. I've bought every vehicle since then with my own cash. All I ask is that you really take the time to appreciate what you are getting.
And do your parents a favor: Keep it between the ditches! Don't make them regret buying it for you.

hold on a second...lets have a little reality check here!
The S2000 is a wonderful car, and I think we all agree on that.
The means by which you come to own one is irrelevant.
I myself, being from the side of those who have studied hard and then gone on to find gainful employment to earn the money to buy my stook, do get a twinge of jealousy when i read about someone 10 years younger than myself being given a stook. But thats exactly what it is...jealousy!
Lets face it, if your parents had offered to buy you such a marvellous machine when you were a kid, can you honestly say you would have turned round and said "no Dad, I will turn down your most generous offer, and wait until I have earned enough money through my own blood sweat and tears to really deserve the car"?!! I think not.
The thing that unites us here is that we are all enthusiasts for the car...dont begrudge someone just because they had the means to get one. The fact that it may have been easy for them by no means detracts from anyone else's achievement in having worked hard to be able to afford one.
Enjoy the car, but as many people have already mentioned....BE CAREFUL. The majority of us start driving with small engined, underpowered sh*t-heaps. The S2000 certainly isnt that, and the lessons in driving that might otherwise have ended up in a minor repair bill could end up being ever so more serious if you lose control in a stook whilst driving at high speed.

Thank you PariS2K for finally pointing out the true point, We are all enthusiast here and like you said, if you were given the opportunity don't lie and say you would turn it down. Trust me I'll probably be the only person at school putting a cover on his car every morning. Also I am not going to be just "given" my S2K at the end of the summer. I have been working my butt off for the past two years to earn about 11,000$ roughly so that when I traded in my Impreza I'd only be a few thousand short, henceforth thats where the parents come in. BTW I will also be paying all my monthly insurance bills which isn't exactly cheap when your under 18, regardless of the fact that I have 0 tickets and 0 accidents that were my fault.
Also my deal with my parents was that if I managed to get in 0 wrecks and get 0 tickets for the first 2 years of driving they would help me out in purchasing another car around when I was graduating.
