Parking with the top down
I'm going to pick up my S2000 either tomorrow or Wednesday and I wanted to see what you guys do. I live in FL so I'll be driving with the top down almost always (aside from the 4:00 thunderstorms during the summer). When you go somewhere and you know it isn't going to rain, do you ever park with the top down or do you always put it up? I used to have a Jeep Wrangler and once I got used to it, I had no problem parking with the top and/or doors off as long as nothing was sitting out. I never had anyone mess with it.
I'm primarily concerned about wearing the top out fast by constantly putting it up and down.
So, what say you, s2ki members?

99% of the time I park with it up. I leave it down only if I'm running inside for something quick (drink at 7-Eleven, etc).
It takes all of 10 seconds to put the top up and latch it, and could prevent you from getting in a world of hurt....theft, weather, etc.

Top down only if the car is in constant sight, which usually means a short time also. If the weather is good so I know I'll be top down, I sometimes don't latch it with windows and top up, for short errands away from the car.
oo yeah thats also true with the sun damage, here in hawaii its usually always sunny so top stays up for me
plus yeah you cant trust people in general, could be a good neighborhood or town but there is always someone that could do damage, just like at my high school my car got egged... so yeah i would always keep the top up when parked away from visual distance
