Parking with the top down

I don't even like parking my S anywhere with a hardtop, I can't fathom parking with the top down and leaving it. oh noes...

I will leave it down when I know im staying in constant line of sight with the car.. besides, it looks sick with the top down and windows about half way up.

top is up if im will be more tahn a few minutes.

As they said in the locked s2k thread. If your door is unlocked it gives easy access, but if you leave it locked it stops the simple thieves because leaving it unlocked is like inviting them into your car, but a determined thief will always get what he wants.

This is sorta where I was going with this. When I had my Jeep, I always left the doors unlocked. I'd rather someone just open the door if they're determined to steal whatever they see in it (which is nothing) than slash my top to get into it. The soft top of a Jeep or an S aren't exactly going to keep people out. I'd never leave it down if I was going to be far from it for a long time, but I don't see any reason to put it up every time I get out. Just don't leave any valuables in it.

Hardtop is always on.

I used to park and leave the top down if I could watch my car while I was in a store or doing something somewhere fast.

Top up. UV rays are not good for leather, vinyl, etc.
