There is also J's Racing, and ATS. But yes those are your options.

There is a long involved thread on the Mazda 4.30 and 4.44 gears from some time ago. I've lost the link for it, but I think it was either in the S2000 or UTH forum. As I recall, the Mazda part numbers were listed along with some of the years and models of Mazda vehicles in which they were used. I have tried to source the gears through local Mazda dealers without any luck, however you may have better luck in your area.

I could be wrong, but judging from what I've read on the subject J's Racing 4.44 gears are rebadged Mazda OEM gears.

I wish we had some well-respected and enterprising S2K vendor with connections at Richmond Gear who would sell Richmond 4.44 gear sets to us AP2 folks.

The kia sportage does not use the 4.44 gears. It uses the 4.77 gears from mazda on the front axle. If you were looking for the part number for those it is MM057-27-110. I am sure of this because I called a kia dealer this week and had the parts department confirm that this was the ring and pinion 4.77 final gear drive. They are in kia sportages from 1995 to 2001 and it's the front wheel drive differential that it's in. I got this info from rx8 club.com and confirmed it with the dealer over the phone because I'm buting a kia sportage diff from a salvage yard this week for 90 bucks. Even after having the gears cryo treated I will still save lots as apposed to buying it on line. Hope this helps.
