Default Passenger Access Panel

I have a 06MY and just bought a wired DCI with SCV. I'm looking to know if anyone has removed the panel under the passenger dash, AKA glovebox, so I can access the convertible top / speed monitoring box to wire in the SCV. Thanks for any help or input.

Pretty much everyone that has installed a DCI or the top down while moving mod has. Now on MY05 and earlier, the panel just pulls off (not easily). It pulls straight back toward the rear of the car, not perpendicular to the panel as you would think.

On a MY06/07 I don't know as you have that little tray.

Just did the mod on my 07.
Phillips screw up in the slats of the glovebox.
push in the center of the two pushpins right and left, then remove the pins.
Reach behind and push/pull the panel out.

I unplugged the white/wblack wire from the connector. Mod complete.
