I had a switch installed by AOI Electrical our of Forth Worth, TX. From what I understand, they are the largest manufacturer of air-bag switches. My swith was $320 installed and they took care of all of the NHSTA paper work.

Most importantly, they installed my switch in the passenger footwell on the right hand side "kick plate". It is still in clear view if I look over in that direction. I couldn't imagine having that thing mounted on my dash...

sounds like a good idea. i have a 8 month old brother (dont ask) who will be riding with me eventually. This may definitely be a mod i can get my parents to spring for...lol!
