Passenger side airbag sensor

You can drive carefully but it doesn't mean someone else will too.
As someone else said, put the seat all the way back and if the bag does explode it will not come anywhere near jr. Just make sure you have a good quality seat like the Recaro . How did people ever survive before the airbag was invented . I am having my driver side bag removed ,adding a quick release steering yoke, with a one turn lock to lock set up from the land of the rising sun. Pray for me people I won't have a airbag, what a thrill seeker I am.
Assuming they will or won't go off could be a fatal mistake. If you want the answer open your Helms manual (you do have one right?????) and check. If there is a sensor it will appear in the SRS wiring diagram. If there isn't it won't. My manual is for a 2000 MY so wouldn't apply. You need the manual for the model year you have.
Another thing you can do is go out to your car and reach under the passenger seat. If there are wires there then the answer is "maybe". If not the answer if no. No wires, no sensor, period. If you don't trust that method, take a 12mm and 14mm socket and ratchet and remove the 4 bolts holding the pass. seat in. If it lifts out without wires attached then the answer is no. If it doesn't, maybe.
Read the helms manual for your MY to know for sure. Order Helm Manual
