Default passenger window lock

The other day I clicked the passenger window lock switch over so my friend couldn't roll up his window on the freeway. When we parked the car at our destination and closed the top, I couldn't roll up the passenger window from the driver's controls when the lock is on. Is that normal?

Doesn't seem to make much sense to me if the switch locks the driver out as well.

Thanks,

Richard

PS: Telling me to look in the manual doesn't count as a response

Yeah, mine does the same thing. It seems stupid to me. I took my door panels off to work on my audio system, and when that passenger window would not go back up, I almost had a heart attack!
