Default Passenger window issue

For a while, my passenger window would not work--using either the driver's side switch or the passenger. I assumed the regulator might be bad.

However, tonight, I tried to put the top down--which worked great, the window came down as it should.

Now, though, neither of the switches will get the window back up. The lock switch is in the correct position.

I'm not sure what this likely means--could it be that the lock switch is somehow stuck on, and thus preventing the window from operating altogether by switches? How would you best troubleshoot this?

This is an interesting one to try and figure out. The fuses are good. When I plugged in a new switch unit to the driver's side--the window worked fine for a few minutes. Then it stopped again. The regulator still appears to work OK. So now I'm thinking it's a short somewhere, but I'm not yet sure.

Hi there, I'm having exactly the same problem on my MY2004 S2000. Did you find the solution?

Pass side window wouldn't work. But when I put the top down, the window came down and is stuck there. I am guessing it would be the pass side switch or the control unit switch on the drivers side, but haven't tested either yet.

As a side note, my battery just went dead while sitting in the garage, it was 8 years old so it was time. Coincidence? Or could be short-related. We'll see.
